The initial project required ADM to create awareness of, and increase bookings for, the tunnel tours operated by Merseytravel. Giving customers an inside view of the Queensway Tunnel, its history and how it is operated.
Merseytravel had previously been experiencing a very low uptake on the tours when compared to potential capacity, we were asked to reverse this trend to ensure all future tours were well attended.
Our digital team put a plan together for the effective marketing of tours to specific demographic groups, using a variety of techniques on Merseytravel’s various social media platforms.
After the challenge of identifying the correct people to target was overcome, the work done by us proved extremely successful – Merseytravel had to put on extra tours due to
‘Just to let you know that we are doing really well and reached 97% of our capacity last week. We’ve had to put on extra tours!’
